# FeedbackKit: questions and answers > In-app feedback and feature voting for iOS, macOS, Android, Flutter, React Native and web, with feature requests ranked by the revenue behind each vote. 100 questions about FeedbackKit, answered in plain text. The same answers are on https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/faq, and the site index for language models is https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/llms.txt. FeedbackKit is made by Swiftly Workspace BV, Antwerp, Belgium. ## FeedbackKit basics ### What is FeedbackKit? FeedbackKit is in-app feedback and feature voting for iOS, macOS, Android, Flutter, React Native and web, with feature requests ranked by the revenue behind each vote. People submit, vote on and discuss feature requests inside your app, and your team triages them from the admin app on iPhone, iPad and Mac or from the web dashboard. More: [Home](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/) ### Who is FeedbackKit for? FeedbackKit is for teams that ship apps and want to hear from the people using them: indie iOS developers, subscription app founders, cross-platform teams on Android, Flutter or React Native, product managers, support leads and engineering leads. It suits a solo developer on the free plan as well as an agency running many apps on Team. ### What problem does FeedbackKit solve? Feature requests usually arrive scattered across App Store reviews, email, support tickets and social media, with the same idea asked for many times. FeedbackKit collects them on one board inside your app, lets people vote instead of filing duplicates, ranks requests by votes and by the revenue of the users behind them, and tells people when the thing they asked for ships. ### Why choose FeedbackKit for in-app feedback? FeedbackKit combines native SDKs for Swift, Kotlin, Flutter and React Native plus JavaScript, all writing to one board; requests ranked by the monthly revenue behind each vote on every plan, including Free; ticket creation and status sync with nine issue trackers; status emails to the people who asked; an interface in 11 languages; and a free plan that needs no credit card. You get a feedback board that lives inside the app, not a website your users have to find. ### What is the best iOS feedback tool for feature requests? If you want feature requests and voting inside a SwiftUI app, FeedbackKit is built for that job: the Swift package adds native views for the list, the submission form and the detail screen, ranks requests by votes and by your users' monthly revenue, and syncs them to GitHub, Linear, Notion and six other trackers. Its Swift SDK needs iOS, iPadOS, macOS or visionOS 26 or later, so an app that still supports iOS 18 or earlier needs another tool. For crash reports and screenshots of bugs, pair FeedbackKit with a dedicated bug-reporting or crash tool. ### What is the best feedback tool for a cross-platform app? For an app that ships on more than one platform, FeedbackKit gives you SDKs for Swift (Apple platforms), Kotlin with Jetpack Compose (Android), Flutter, React Native and JavaScript, and every one of them reads and writes the same project. A request filed on the web is the same request, with the same votes, on Android and iPhone. ### Is FeedbackKit a feature-request board, a bug reporter or a survey tool? FeedbackKit is a feature-request and voting tool first. People can file feedback as a feature request, a bug report, an improvement or other, and the team triages it with statuses. It does not do surveys or NPS, crash reporting, session replay or live chat, so teams that need those use a dedicated tool alongside it. ### Who makes FeedbackKit? FeedbackKit is built by Swiftly Workspace BV, a software company in Antwerp, Belgium. It was created by Ben Van Aken, co-founder of Swiftly Workspace, who leads the product, and it is core work for the company rather than a side project. More: [About FeedbackKit](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/about) ### How do I get started with FeedbackKit? Create a free account, create a project and copy its API key. Then add the SDK for your platform, configure it once at launch with that key, and show the feedback list where you want it. On Swift that is SwiftlyFeedback.configure(environment: .production, key: "your-api-key") and a FeedbackListView in a sheet. More: [Documentation](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/docs) ### Can I use FeedbackKit for a web app or SaaS product? Yes. You can put the feedback board and the submission form on your own website with one script tag or an iframe, and the JavaScript SDK and REST API let your backend list, submit and vote on requests. The same project can also be fed from your mobile apps. More: [JavaScript SDK](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/docs/javascript) ## Plans and prices ### How much does FeedbackKit cost? FeedbackKit has a free plan at $0.00 a month. Pro is $15.00 a month or $150.00 a year, and Team is $39.00 a month or $390.00 a year. Prices are in USD, and every plan includes every SDK. More: [Pricing](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/pricing) ### Is there a free plan? Yes. The free plan is free for good and needs no credit card. It includes one project with up to 10 feedback items, voting, comments, the six statuses, revenue ranking and every SDK. Integrations and team members are not included. More: [Pricing](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/pricing) ### What happens when a free project has more than 10 feedback items? Nothing is lost and nothing is refused. Feedback past the tenth item is still saved, but it is hidden from the board and from lists until you upgrade. When the account moves to Pro or Team, the hidden items reappear. ### How much is Pro and what does it include? Pro is $15.00 a month, or $150.00 billed yearly. It covers two projects, unlimited feedback, all 13 integrations, Slack notifications and configurable statuses, including which status changes email the person who asked. More: [Pricing](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/pricing) ### How much is Team and what does it add? Team is $39.00 a month, or $390.00 billed yearly. It adds unlimited projects and team members with roles (owner, admin, member and viewer), includes all integrations, and lets voters opt in to status emails. More: [Pricing](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/pricing) ### Is there a discount for paying yearly? Yes. Paying yearly saves about 17% on Pro ($150.00 a year, which works out to $12.50 a month) and about 17% on Team ($390.00 a year, or $32.50 a month). More: [Pricing](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/pricing) ### Do I pay per end user or per vote? No. Plans are priced per account, not per end user, voter or request. There is no limit on how many of your users submit or vote, on any plan. ### Which plan should an indie developer choose? Start on Free to try FeedbackKit in one app. Move to Pro when you need unlimited feedback, a second app, or requests sent to GitHub, Linear, Notion or another tracker. Team is for when other people need access to the projects. ### Which plan should an agency or studio choose? Team. It has no limit on projects, so each client app can have its own, and you can invite owners, admins, members and viewers with the access their role needs. Ownership of a project can be transferred, for example to the client at the end of an engagement. ### Is there a free trial? The free plan is the trial: it has no time limit and needs no card, so you can integrate the SDK and collect real feedback before you decide to pay. ### How do I pay for FeedbackKit? On the web, Pro and Team are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe, which accepts promotion codes at checkout. In the FeedbackKit admin app on iPhone, iPad and Mac, the same plans can be bought as App Store subscriptions billed by Apple. ### Can I cancel or change my plan? Yes. A web plan is changed or cancelled from Manage Billing in account settings, which opens the Stripe portal, and an App Store plan from your Apple subscriptions. The terms say fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires a refund, and that pricing can change with 30 days' notice. More: [Terms of Service](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/terms) ## SDKs and platforms ### Which platforms does FeedbackKit support? FeedbackKit has SDKs for Swift (iOS, iPadOS, macOS and visionOS 26 or later), Kotlin with Jetpack Compose for Android, Flutter, React Native, JavaScript for the web and Node.js, and server-side Swift with Vapor. There is also a REST API for anything else. More: [Documentation](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/docs) ### Does FeedbackKit have a native iOS SDK? Yes. The Swift SDK is a Swift Package with SwiftUI views for the feedback list, the submission form and the detail screen, built for Swift 6. You add it with Swift Package Manager from github.com/Swiftly-Developed/SwiftlyFeedbackKit-Swift-SDK, from version 1.3.0. More: [Swift SDK](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/docs/swift) ### Which iOS versions does the Swift SDK support? The Swift SDK supports iOS, iPadOS, macOS and visionOS 26 or later. It has no watchOS or tvOS target. If your app still supports older OS versions, you can show the board only on devices running 26 or later, or use the web embed. ### Does FeedbackKit support Android? Yes. The Kotlin SDK is native Android with Jetpack Compose screens and coroutines. You configure it once in Application.onCreate() with your API key and drop the feedback list screen into your Compose UI. It is published to Maven as com.getfeedbackkit:feedbackkit. More: [Kotlin SDK](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/docs/kotlin) ### Does FeedbackKit support Flutter? Yes. The Flutter SDK, feedbackkit_flutter, wraps your app in a FeedbackKitProvider and gives you pre-built widgets for iOS and Android from one codebase, with light and dark themes. More: [Flutter SDK](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/docs/flutter) ### Does FeedbackKit support React Native? Yes. The React Native SDK, feedbackkit-react-native, is built on the JavaScript client. Wrap the app in a FeedbackProvider and render the feedback list, vote buttons and status badges as components on iOS and Android. More: [React Native SDK](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/docs/react-native) ### Is there a JavaScript or TypeScript SDK? Yes. feedbackkit-js is one client that lists requests, submits new ones and votes, with TypeScript definitions included. Run it from Node.js or your own backend; to show the board to visitors on your website, use the embeddable board instead. More: [JavaScript SDK](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/docs/javascript) ### Is there a server-side Swift SDK? Yes. The Vapor SDK is a server-side Swift client for Vapor 4, for backends written in Swift that want to submit or read feedback. More: [Vapor SDK](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/docs/vapor) ### Does FeedbackKit have a REST API? Yes. The REST API lets you submit feedback, read and cast votes, and read comments over HTTP, authenticated with your project's API key in the X-API-Key header. It is documented with an OpenAPI specification. More: [REST API reference](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/docs/openapi) ### Do I need to run my own backend? No. FeedbackKit hosts the backend, the database, the admin apps and the web dashboard. The SDK talks to your project with its API key, so adding feedback to an app is a client-side change. ### Is the FeedbackKit SDK open source? Yes. The SDKs are published on GitHub under the Swiftly-Developed organization, and the Swift SDK is MIT licensed, so you can read exactly what it sends before you ship it. ## Voting, statuses and triage ### How does feature voting work in FeedbackKit? People open the board inside your app, see the requests already there with their vote counts and statuses, and add a vote with one tap instead of filing a duplicate. The person who submits a request counts as its first vote, so the list is ranked from day one. ### When can people vote on a request? People can vote while a request is Pending, Approved, In Progress or in TestFlight. Voting closes once it is Completed or Rejected. ### Which statuses does FeedbackKit use? Six built-in statuses on every plan: Pending, Approved, In Progress, TestFlight, Completed and Rejected. On Pro and Team you choose which of them a project uses. Custom statuses are not available. ### Can I explain why a request was rejected? Yes. When you set a request to Rejected you can add a reason of up to 500 characters. It is stored with the request and included in the status email, and it is cleared if the request later moves to another status. ### How does FeedbackKit handle duplicate requests? Merge them. Combining two or more requests moves their votes into one without counting the same voter twice, moves the comments with a note saying where each came from, and recalculates the revenue behind the merged request. ### Can users comment on feature requests? Yes. Users comment on requests inside your app, and your team can reply in the same thread. A new comment can email the project owner and the members who turned that on. ### Where do I triage feedback? In the FeedbackKit admin app on iPhone, iPad and Mac, or in the web dashboard in any browser. A status change made on one device shows up on every other, and the web dashboard also has analytics, project settings, member management and integration setup. ### Is there a FeedbackKit app for iPhone and Mac? Yes. The FeedbackKit admin app runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac. It lists feedback across your projects, lets you change statuses, reply, merge and sort by revenue, and sends push notifications for new feedback, comments, votes and status changes. ### Can feedback be categorised? Yes. Each item is a feature request, a bug report, an improvement or other, so you can tell ideas apart from problems while triaging. ### Do my users need a FeedbackKit account to vote? No. Your users never sign up for FeedbackKit. Your app can pass its own user ID; if it does not, the Swift SDK creates an identifier and keeps it in the Keychain on the device, so a person's votes stay theirs across launches. ### Can I see who gave feedback? Yes. Each project has a users view listing the people who submitted or voted, with their feedback, their votes and the monthly revenue your app passed for them. Email addresses are present only when your app or the person provided one. ### Can I archive a project? Yes. An archived project keeps all its feedback readable, but new feedback, votes and comments are blocked until you unarchive it. That suits an app you have retired but want to keep the history of. ## Revenue behind every vote ### What does ranking feature requests by revenue mean? Every request shows the combined monthly recurring revenue (MRR) of the people who asked for it and voted on it. Sorting by that number shows what your paying customers want most, not only what is popular with free users. ### How do I pass a user's revenue to FeedbackKit? Your app tells the SDK what the current user pays. In Swift that is SwiftlyFeedback.updateUser(payment: .monthly(9.99)); weekly, quarterly and yearly amounts are converted to a monthly figure, and SwiftlyFeedback.clearUserPayment() removes it when a subscription ends. More: [Swift SDK](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/docs/swift) ### Is revenue ranking a paid feature? No. Revenue behind each vote is included on every plan, Free as well as Pro and Team. ### Why rank feature requests by revenue instead of votes alone? Votes count people equally, but your roadmap pays for itself through the customers who subscribe. A request with 20 votes from paying users can matter more than one with 200 from people who never pay. FeedbackKit shows both numbers, so you can decide with the full picture. ### Does FeedbackKit connect to App Store Connect or Stripe to read revenue? No. FeedbackKit does not read your App Store Connect or Stripe account. Your app passes the figure it already knows for the signed-in user, which keeps FeedbackKit out of your billing systems. ### What happens to revenue when requests are merged? The merged request's revenue is recalculated from its de-duplicated voters, so a customer who voted on both duplicates is counted once. ## Integrations ### Which integrations does FeedbackKit have? Thirteen: nine issue trackers that turn a request into a ticket (GitHub, Notion, ClickUp, Linear, Monday.com, Trello, Airtable, Asana and Basecamp), Slack for notifications, and HubSpot, Salesforce and Email Campaign to sync the people who give feedback. Integrations are included on Pro and Team. More: [Integrations](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/integrations) ### Does FeedbackKit integrate with GitHub? Yes. A request becomes a GitHub issue, one at a time or in bulk, and changing its status closes or reopens the issue. Comments are not synced to GitHub. ### Does FeedbackKit integrate with Linear? Yes. A request becomes a Linear issue, its status follows the matching workflow state, and comments sync to the issue. Vote counts are not synced to Linear. ### Which integrations sync status, comments and votes? Notion, ClickUp, Monday.com, Airtable and Asana sync all three: the status, every new comment and the vote count. Linear, Trello and Basecamp sync status and comments, and GitHub syncs status. ### Does FeedbackKit integrate with Trello and Basecamp? Yes. In Trello a request becomes a card that moves to the list you map to each status, with comments synced. In Basecamp it becomes a to-do that is completed when the request is, with comments synced. ### Does FeedbackKit integrate with Jira, Zapier or webhooks? No. FeedbackKit has no Jira, Azure DevOps, Zapier or Make integration and no outgoing webhooks today. The REST API is the way to connect a tool that is not on the list. ### Does FeedbackKit post to Slack? Yes, on Pro and Team. New feedback, new comments and status changes are posted to the Slack channel you choose. ### Does FeedbackKit sync with HubSpot or Salesforce? Yes, on Pro and Team. HubSpot receives the people who give feedback as contacts and Salesforce receives them as leads, so the sales and success teams can see who asked for what. ### Can FeedbackKit add people to my email list? Yes. The Email Campaign integration subscribes the people who give feedback to a list in Mailchimp, Kit, Beehiiv or MailerLite. ### Can I send many requests to my issue tracker at once? Yes. Every ticket integration has a bulk action, so you can select several requests and create a ticket for each in one step. Each request keeps a link to its ticket. ## Notifications ### How does FeedbackKit tell users their request shipped? When a request moves to a status you have selected, FeedbackKit emails the person who submitted it. On Pro and Team you choose which statuses send that email, and on Team voters who opted in are emailed too. A rejection email can include your reason. ### How is my team notified about new feedback? By email and by push notification in the admin app on iPhone and Mac, on every plan, and in Slack on Pro and Team. Each person chooses which notifications they get, per project. ### Can voters unsubscribe from status emails? Yes. Every status email to a voter carries a one-click unsubscribe link that needs no sign-in. ### Does FeedbackKit support Microsoft Teams or Discord notifications? No. Team notifications go by email, push and Slack. ## Web board and embeds ### Can I put the feedback board on my website? Yes. Add the board to your own site with one script tag or an iframe, in light or dark, with voting on or off. Embedding is turned on per project, and the embed works on any site where it is enabled. ### Does FeedbackKit have a public roadmap? Partly. FeedbackKit can show a roadmap of the requests you pick, by target month, and a board of open requests on your own website through an iframe, and visitors can vote on the board when you turn voting on. ### Can I embed only the submission form? Yes. The feedback form can be embedded on its own page, so a contact or support page can collect requests straight onto the board. ### Does FeedbackKit have a changelog for my users? No. FeedbackKit has no changelog for your users. The status emails and the Completed status are how people learn that their request shipped. ### What is the FeedbackKit App Catalog? The App Catalog is a public list of apps built with FeedbackKit, where people can discover them and see which apps collect feedback this way. More: [App Catalog](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/catalog) ### Can I vote on FeedbackKit's own feature requests? Yes. FeedbackKit runs its own board, and anyone can see what is being worked on and vote on what it does next. More: [Our roadmap](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/roadmap) ## Languages ### Which languages does FeedbackKit support? The Swift SDK, the admin apps and the web dashboard are translated into 11 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, Korean, Italian, Arabic and Russian. Coverage in the other SDKs differs, and the documentation lists what each covers. More: [Localization](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/) ### Does the feedback board follow the device language? Yes, in the Swift SDK, which ships a translated interface and follows the device language. The web dashboard opens in the language your browser asks for, with a picker to choose another. ### Does FeedbackKit support right-to-left languages? Yes. Arabic is one of the 11 languages, and it is laid out right to left. ### Can FeedbackKit translate feedback written in another language? Yes. In the Swift SDK and the admin app you can read what people typed in a language you choose. Apple's Translation framework does the translation on your own device. ## Privacy, security and the company ### Where does FeedbackKit store data, and is it GDPR compliant? Data may be processed and stored outside your own country, including in the United States and EU member states, and transfers out of the EEA use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. FeedbackKit is operated by Swiftly Workspace BV in Belgium, and the privacy policy describes what is collected and the rights of people in the European Economic Area. You remain responsible for the privacy notice you give your own end users. More: [Privacy Policy](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/privacy) ### Is a data processing agreement available? Yes. A data processing agreement is available on request from privacy@getfeedbackkit.com. More: [Email privacy@getfeedbackkit.com](mailto:privacy@getfeedbackkit.com) ### Does the FeedbackKit SDK track users or show ads? No. FeedbackKit has no advertising, and the Swift SDK's privacy manifest declares no tracking. The user ID it keeps is specific to your app, so it cannot be used to follow a person across other developers' apps. ### Who on my team can see and change feedback? Access is per project, by role. Owners have full control, including deleting, archiving and transferring the project and regenerating its API key. Admins manage settings, members and feedback, members view and respond to feedback, and viewers have read-only access. Inviting members needs the Team plan. ### How do FeedbackKit API keys work? Each project has one API key, which identifies the project rather than a person. It is meant to ship inside your app, and the project owner can regenerate it at any time if it needs replacing. ### How do I report a security issue? Email security@getfeedbackkit.com. The contact is also published in the site's security.txt file. More: [Email security@getfeedbackkit.com](mailto:security@getfeedbackkit.com) ### How do I delete my FeedbackKit account and data? You can delete your account from the admin app or request deletion on the delete account page, which also explains what is removed. More: [Delete Account](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/delete-account) ### How do I contact FeedbackKit? Email hello@getfeedbackkit.com for questions, support@getfeedbackkit.com for help with your account or integration, and partners@getfeedbackkit.com for partnerships. More: [About FeedbackKit](https://www.getfeedbackkit.com/about) ## How FeedbackKit compares ### How does FeedbackKit compare to Canny? FeedbackKit puts feature voting in native UI inside your iOS, macOS, Android, Flutter and React Native apps, and ranks requests by the MRR your app passes, on every plan. ChatKit is an in-app chat inbox for iOS apps: users message you from a SwiftUI screen and you reply one-to-one, with no servers to run. Choose FeedbackKit when: you want users to see each other's requests, vote and comment, so demand is visible instead of spread across private threads; you ship on macOS, Android, Flutter or React Native as well as iOS; you want requests ranked by the MRR of the users behind them, statuses users can follow, and issue-tracker sync with GitHub, Linear and others (Pro and up).
