Canny Alternatives: Eight Feedback Tools Worth Comparing
Canny is a feedback portal with a roadmap and a changelog, and an AI layer called Autopilot that turns support and sales conversations into feedback. For B2B products it is a strong default. Teams compare it mostly because of how it prices, which plan holds the integrations they need, or because their product is a mobile app. This post covers those reasons, what to check, and eight alternatives.
We make FeedbackKit, so read this with that in mind. Every fact about Canny and the other tools below comes from each provider's own pages, checked on 17 October 2026 and linked where it is used. We did not use review sites. For a direct, two-product comparison, read FeedbackKit vs Canny.
The short version
- Canny prices by tracked users: anyone associated with feedback. Free covers 25, and Pro starts at 100 and steps up from there.
- Business is priced on request and includes SSO; HubSpot and Salesforce (CRM) are a paid add-on on Business.
- Featurebase prices per seat, Nolt, Upvoty and Frill use flat plans, and UserVoice is volume-based and sold through a demo.
- For mobile apps, Canny uses a WebView. FeedbackKit has native SDKs for iOS, Android, Flutter and React Native.
Why teams look for a Canny alternative
These come from Canny's own pricing page and mobile widget docs.
- Tracked users drive the price. A tracked user is anyone who has given feedback: by posting, voting or commenting, or through an admin or Autopilot acting on their behalf. Free covers 25 tracked users. Pro starts at $79 a month billed yearly, or $99 monthly, for 100, and the price rises as the count grows.
- Growth changes the bill. If you set no monthly spend limit and pass your tracked-user limit, Canny moves you up to the next tier, prorated. If you set one, Canny stops tracking feedback from new users once it is reached. A popular board costs more.
- Consumer apps need a conversation. Canny's FAQ says that for B2B SaaS around 1 to 5% of users become tracked users, and it offers special plans for high-volume consumer products if you contact it.
- CRM and SSO need Business. Business is priced on request and includes SSO (Okta, OIDC, Entra ID or OneLogin); HubSpot and Salesforce (CRM) are a paid add-on on Business.
- Mobile apps get a WebView. The mobile widget docs start with "Create a WebView", using a WKWebView on iOS.
What to look for in an alternative
- The pricing unit: tracked users, seats, boards or flat. Estimate how many people will vote in a year.
- Feedback capture: if Autopilot is why you use Canny, few tools match it.
- Roadmap and changelog, and on which plan.
- Issue trackers: Canny's Pro covers Jira, ClickUp, Linear, Asana, GitHub and Azure DevOps.
- Native or web: for a mobile app, native SDKs rather than a WebView.
Eight Canny alternatives
The list is in no order of merit.
Featurebase
Featurebase sells a helpdesk and feedback suite in one subscription. It suits teams that want support and feedback in one tool and have few seats. Its pricing page lists Free with 1 seat, 1 board and 1 roadmap and unlimited end users, then Growth at $29 per seat a month billed yearly, or $37 billed monthly, with in-app widgets, revenue data sync, the changelog page and integrations. AI resolutions cost $0.49 each. See FeedbackKit vs Featurebase and Featurebase vs Canny.
UserVoice
UserVoice is an enterprise customer intelligence platform with branded portals, in-app feedback, AI analysis and Salesforce, Jira, Azure DevOps, Zendesk and Gainsight integrations. It suits large B2B companies where many people in sales and success log feedback. Its pricing page publishes no figures: plans are based on feedback volume, tools and integrations, never by seat, and you start with a demo and a 30-day trial. See FeedbackKit vs UserVoice and Canny vs UserVoice.
Sleekplan
Sleekplan bundles a feedback board, a changelog, a roadmap, CSAT, NPS and surveys, with unlimited tracked users on every plan. It suits teams with large audiences who want feedback and surveys in one place. Its pricing page lists a free Indie plan for a single admin, and Starter at 15 a month, or 13 billed yearly, with 3 team seats. The currency follows your location. Its integrations page lists Jira, Linear, GitHub, ClickUp, Azure DevOps and Zapier. See FeedbackKit vs Sleekplan.
Upvoty
Upvoty offers voting boards, a public roadmap, a changelog and a feedback widget, with unlimited tracked users. It suits small SaaS teams who want Canny's shape at a flat price. Its pricing page shows Power at $15 a month, or $13.50 billed annually, for 1 project, with the changelog and integrations listed from Super ($25) and the API and webhooks on Hyper ($49). There is no free plan; the trial is 14 days. See FeedbackKit vs Upvoty.
FeedbackKit
FeedbackKit is in-app feedback and feature voting for app teams. It has native SDKs for Swift and SwiftUI (iOS 26, macOS 26 and visionOS 26 or later), Kotlin with Jetpack Compose on Android, Flutter and React Native, with ready-made screens, so users vote and comment in your app rather than in a WebView. Your app can pass each user's MRR through the SDK, and requests can be sorted by the total MRR of the users behind them, on every plan, with no CRM connection needed. On Pro and up, requests go to GitHub, Linear, Notion, ClickUp, Monday.com, Trello, Airtable, Asana or Basecamp with status sync. It suits consumer and prosumer app teams, where a tracked-user price can climb fast.
No plan counts voters. Our pricing page lists Free at $0 for 1 project and 10 visible feedback items per project, Pro at $15 a month or $150 a year with unlimited feedback, and Team at $39 a month or $390 a year with unlimited projects and team members. FeedbackKit can show a project's roadmap and its board of requests on your own website through an iframe, and it has a feedback form page you can embed the same way. There is no changelog for your users, and no hosted roadmap site on your own domain. See FeedbackKit vs Canny.
Here is how that looks in FeedbackKit, with sample data from a fictional hiking app:

See FeedbackKit vs Nolt.
Frill
Frill offers an ideas board, a roadmap, announcements and surveys, with unlimited admins, widgets and tracked users on every paid tier. It suits teams that want announcements next to ideas without counting users. Its pricing page shows Startup at $25 a month, or $22 billed yearly, with 50 active ideas, and Business at $49, or $44, with unlimited ideas. The trial is 14 days and there is no free plan. See FeedbackKit vs Frill.

Our Canny pricing explainer walks through the tracked-user tiers, and the Canny review covers the product in depth.
When to stay with Canny
- Much of your feedback arrives through support tickets and sales calls, and Autopilot capturing it from Intercom, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Gong or Zoom saves your team real time.
- You are a B2B product where a small share of users give feedback, so tracked-user pricing stays low.
- Your engineers use Jira or Azure DevOps, or your team chats in Microsoft Teams or Discord. Canny lists all of these.
- Your customers follow a public roadmap and changelog, and you want both in one portal.
When FeedbackKit is not the right fit
FeedbackKit has no hosted public roadmap and no changelog for your users, and nothing like Autopilot for capturing feedback from support and sales tools. It does not connect to Jira, Azure DevOps, Zapier or Make, and does not post to Microsoft Teams or Discord. There are six built-in statuses and no custom ones. The Swift SDK needs iOS 26, macOS 26 or visionOS 26, so it is not an option if you support older iOS versions. If your product lives in a browser, the JavaScript SDK has no screens, and Canny's widget will be quicker to set up. There is no in-app chat and there are no surveys.
If your users are in a native app and you want voting there, the Swift, Kotlin, Flutter and React Native docs show what is involved. You can start free and see how many of your users vote before you pay anything.
