Canny Pricing: How Tracked Users Set the Bill

Canny is one of the best-known feedback platforms: a feedback portal, a roadmap, a changelog and an AI layer called Autopilot that pulls feedback out of support and sales conversations. Its pricing is built around one number, the tracked user. Once you understand that, the rest of the page is easy to read. This post covers each plan, how the Pro price climbs, and what a small app team would pay.

We make FeedbackKit, so read this with that in mind. The Canny facts below come from Canny's pricing page, read in a browser so we could switch between yearly and monthly, and from its billing plans help article, which lists the price at every tracked-user step. Both were checked on 17 October 2026. Both show prices with a $ sign.

The short version

  • Free is $0 for up to 25 tracked users. Pro starts at $79 a month billed yearly, or $99 billed monthly, for 100 tracked users. Business is custom.
  • A tracked user is anyone with a post, vote or comment attributed to them, including feedback an admin logs for them or that Autopilot finds.
  • Pro rises in steps as tracked users grow: $279 a month billed yearly at 500, $529 at 1,000 and $1,079 at 5,000.
  • You can set a monthly spend limit. At the limit, Canny stops tracking feedback from new users rather than charging more.

The plans

PlanBilled yearlyBilled monthlyTracked usersManagersWhat it adds
Free$0$0255Unlimited feedback and boards, Autopilot, feedback and notification integrations
ProFrom $79/monthFrom $99/month100 and up10Project-management integrations, Zapier, MCP connectors, advanced privacy
BusinessCustom5,000 and upCustomSSO included; HubSpot and Salesforce (CRM) a paid add-on; pay by invoice

All plans include unlimited Contributor seats, so people who need to see and comment on feedback do not cost extra. Owner and Manager seats are the ones that are capped.

Free

Free covers 25 tracked users and 5 managers, with unlimited feedback and boards. Autopilot is included on all plans. The help article says Free is limited to feedback integrations (Intercom, Zendesk, Slack, Segment and the Chrome extension) and notification integrations (Slack, Microsoft Teams and Discord).

Pro

Pro starts at 100 tracked users and 10 managers. It adds the project-management integrations (Jira, ClickUp, Linear, Asana and GitHub), Zapier and MCP connectors, plus advanced portal privacy. The help article puts the 100-user tier at $948 a year on annual billing.

Business

Business starts at 5,000 tracked users. It is priced on request and includes SSO; HubSpot and Salesforce (CRM) are a paid add-on on Business. It is not enabled in the app; you contact Canny's sales team. The help article says Business is also the plan that accepts invoice or bank transfer, and lists removing Canny branding as an optional add-on as well.

What pushes the price up: tracked users

The help article puts it plainly: Canny pricing is largely based on tracked users. Here is the Pro price at some of the steps listed in that article:

Tracked usersPro, billed yearly (per month)Pro, billed monthly
100$79$99
200$129$161
300$179$224
500$279$349
1,000$529$661
2,000$729$911
5,000$1,079$1,349

Three details matter:

  • Who counts. Posting, voting and commenting all count, whether the user does it, an admin does it on their behalf, or Autopilot finds their feedback in a support chat or call.
  • Going over. Without a spend limit, Canny moves you up to the next tier when you pass your limit and charges a prorated amount for the rest of the period.
  • The spend limit. If you set one, upgrades pause when you hit it and Canny stops tracking feedback from new users until you raise or remove the limit.

Canny's FAQ says that for a B2B SaaS company, around 1 to 5% of total users typically become tracked users. For a consumer app with a large audience, Canny offers special B2C plans on request.

What a small app team pays

Take Trailmate, a fictional hiking app with 10,000 active users, and two people who manage feedback. The totals use the prices above.

A quiet board: 1% take part

About 100 users post, vote or comment. That fits Pro's entry tier.

  • Billed yearly: $79 × 12 = $948 a year.
  • Billed monthly: $99 × 12 = $1,188 a year.

An active board: 5% take part

Put the board inside the app and more people use it. At 500 tracked users:

  • Billed yearly: $279 × 12 = $3,348 a year.
  • Billed monthly: $349 × 12 = $4,188 a year.

If Trailmate doubles to 20,000 active users at the same 5%, that is 1,000 tracked users and $529 × 12 = $6,348 a year billed yearly. If Trailmate stays under 25 tracked users and does not need tracker integrations, Free costs nothing.

Free plan and trial

Free is a lasting plan, not a trial, with 5 manager seats. Pro has a "Start trial" button; neither the pricing page nor the help article states the trial's length. Yearly billing saves up to 20%, and Canny offers discounts for qualifying non-profits.

How FeedbackKit's pricing compares

FeedbackKit's prices are on our pricing page:

PlanMonthlyYearlyIncludes
Free$0$01 project, 10 visible feedback items per project, no integrations, no team members
Pro$15$1502 projects, unlimited feedback, all integrations
Team$39$390Unlimited projects, team members and roles

The structural difference is that FeedbackKit does not count voters. There is no limit on how many of your users vote, on any plan, so the Trailmate cases above cost the same at 100, 500 or 1,000 participants: $150 a year on Pro, or $390 on Team if both people need to manage feedback. For an app with a big consumer audience, that is the point.

The limits sit elsewhere. FeedbackKit Free caps a project at 10 visible feedback items, where Canny Free has unlimited feedback for 25 tracked users. And Canny does things FeedbackKit does not: Autopilot capture from support and sales tools, Jira and Azure DevOps, a hosted public roadmap and a changelog for your users.

FeedbackKit's board lives inside your app, in native screens from the Swift, Kotlin, Flutter and React Native SDKs, and on every plan your app can pass each user's MRR so requests can be sorted by the revenue behind them. Here is how that looks in FeedbackKit, with sample data from a fictional hiking app:

Requests sorted by MRR

In the FeedbackKit admin app on Mac, iPad and iPhone, requests can be sorted by the total MRR of the users behind them, on every plan.

Choose Canny if...

  • A lot of your feedback arrives through Intercom, Zendesk, Gong or calls, and you want AI to capture it.
  • Your engineers use Jira or Azure DevOps, or your revenue data lives in HubSpot or Salesforce.
  • You want a public roadmap and changelog on the web.
  • You are B2B with a modest number of active participants, so tracked-user pricing stays low.
